Alabama Man Charged With Wayne County Burglary

On May 30th 2008, The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department charged Justin Dennis James W/M of Millry, Alabama with the burglary of Landon and Stacey McCaa’s residence that was reported on May 15th 2008. The home was located on the Denham Progress Road. Deputies Tim Hollinghead and Wesley Waites responded to the initial call. Seven firearms were reported stolen from the house.
 
On May 29th 2008, Sheriff Stein Farrior learned that James had been arrested by the Alabama authorities and may be involved in a burglary in Wayne County. Investigator Stevens contacted Washington County Deputy John Traylor and learned that James had been arrested for a theft in Alabama and during that investigation it was discovered that James was responsible for a burglary in Wayne County. Investigators Mozingo and Stevens traveled to Washington County Alabama Sheriff’s Department and met with Chief Deputy Terry Beasley. The investigation of Investigators Mozingo and Stevens led to the recovery of two firearms from a pawn shop in Citronelle, Alabama and six firearms from a pawn shop in Petal, Ms. James remains in the custody of the Washington County Alabama Sheriff’s Department and will be extradited to Wayne County to face the burglary charge.
