Wayne County Sex Offenders
As mandated by federal and state legislation, the Mississippi Sex Offenders Registration Law was enacted requiring the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS) to maintain a registry of persons residing in this state who have been convicted of certain sexual offenses or attempted offenses. Offenders must register with the sheriff’s department in the county which they reside.
The MDPS maintains an online state Sex Offender Registry which is searchable by county or by offender name. A link to this site can be found on our links page.
In allowance of said legislation, and at the request of the citizens of Wayne County, we will provide a current list of those convicted of certain sexual offenses or attempted offenses that reside in and are registered as such in Wayne County.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department provides this information in the interest of public safety. Person(s) that use this information to commit a criminal act against another person is subject to criminal prosecution. The sale or exchange of sex offender information for profit is prohibited.
