Indoor Marijuana Grow Operation Dismantled In Wayne County

On March 12th 2008, The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, the Mississippi Bureau Of Narcotics, The Mississippi Nation Guard Counter Drug Task Force, and the South Mississippi Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence located at 20 Hicks Gardener Road, Stateline, Ms.
Officers discovered an elaborate indoor marijuana growing operation. Sixteen marijuana plants and extensive equipment used in the growing process were seized.
Douglas Glen McCary, was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of more than one ounce of marijuana, possession of precursor chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, & possession of narcotics while in possession of a firearm. Tara Alesh Russell was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of more than one ounce of marijuana, & possession of precursor chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Both are scheduled to appear before a Wayne County Justice Court Judge Thursday.
