At approximately 2 am Wednesday morning, January 13th 2016, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Investigator Johnny Smith investigated a suspicious vehicle near a store in the Beat Four Community. Investigation revealed the driver, Roxxana Stanley to be in possession of beer, suspended driver license, a firearm, and approximately 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, beer, and drug paraphernalia. Narcotics Investigator Macy Torey, and Deputies Preston Shedd and Kim Dobbs assisted in the arrest. Stanley was charges with possession of methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm within 1500 feet of a school; driving with suspended driver license, and possession of beer in dry county. “As a Sheriff’s Department we are taking a strong stance against drugs. You will see a visible presence in the community in an effort to combat drug and other crimes. This case is a good example of an Officer seeing something suspicious near a business and following up on it.”, said Sheriff Ashley.
