Adam Brumfield Apprehended In Jones County

Adam Brumfield, was recaptured Wednesday night at a motel in Jones County. Wayne County Narcotics Investigator Johnny Smith received information that led to Brumfield’s location. Jones County Sheriff’s Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Investigators took Brumfield into custody without incident.
Brumfield was an inmate worker in the Wayne County Detention Center that walked off from his work detail on Christmas Eve. “The Officers did a great job in locating Brumfield and returning him to the Wayne County Jail. I appreciate the work of the officers and assistance of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department,” said Sheriff Ashley. Brumfield will also be charged with escape in addition to facing his existing charges.
