WCSO Investigates Home Invasion Robbery On Coyt Baptist Church Road

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred on the Coyt Baptist Church Road Monday evening at approximately 1600 hours. A white male and a black male reportedly approached the residence under the guise of conducting a survey. One of the individuals brandished a firearm and demanded money. A third individual, a black male, entered the residence. The homeowner was restrained while the three individuals gathered some jewelry and other items before fleeing from the residence. The homeowner, who was not physically harmed, was able to break free and call 911.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, Choctaw County Alabama Sheriff’s Department, and the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department responded and participated in the investigation. Physical evidence was recovered at the scene which will be submitted to the Mississippi Crime Laboratory.
