WCSO Investigates Burglary On Waynesboro Matherville Road

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department received a call reporting a burglary in the 700 area of the Waynesboro Mathersville Road. Deputy Charles Everett and Investigators Mike Mozingo and Kevin Stevens responded. Several rifles, a muzzle loader, a pump shotgun, a handgun, spotting scope, gamer camera, and a flat screen Vizio television were reported stolen. A window was broken to gain entry into the residence. The burglary occurred between Tuesday at lunch and Wednesday at lunch.
Anyone that may have information related to this incident is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff's Department at 735-3801 or Crime Stoppers at 735-LEAD (5323). You can also submit information online using our "Submit a Tip" form. A cash reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information that leads to and arrest/conviction in this case.
