WCSO Advises Of Possible Scam

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department has been contacted by a local bank and informed of a possible scam operating in Wayne County. Several customers of the bank have been contacted via a telephone call informing them that they are going to come to their house to conduct a bank audit. This is not how financial institutions conduct business and should be an immediate sign that something is wrong. Do not give any information out on the phone and contact the bank should something of this nature arise.
