WCSO Investigates Shooting Death On Red Brown Drive

On March 6th 2008 at approximately 0058 hours, The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department received a call reporting that a female had been shot while inside her home located at 123 Red Brown Drive. Wayne General Ambulance Service, Wayne County Volunteer Fire Department Emergency Responders, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene. Janie Williams and her husband, Ken Williams were home at the time of the incident. Janie Williams died as a result from injuries she received. This case remains under investigation. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone that may have any information related to this incident to come forward.
