Wayne County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Investigators Make Several Arrests

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department arrested six individuals and five of those are facing felony drug charges on Thursday. Narcotics Investigator Johnny Smith and Macy Torrey along with deputies Nick Springer, Eden Burgess, Preston Shedd and Kim Dobbs rounded up the individuals during the day of (1/21/16). “We are making a terrific effort toward cleaning up drugs in Wayne County. These officers are risking their lives to make Wayne County a safer place to live and I appreciate they are putting their own lives on hold. We are working around the clock to rid this county of drugs,” stated Sheriff Jody Ashley. Also seized were several four-wheelers, guns, dirt bikes and dune buggies during the arrests.

 

Cedric Jones (29) of 199-A Holly Bush Church Road faced six charges and was charged with two counts of possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute. Jones is also charged with possession of firearm. His bond has been set at $100,000.

 

Jonathon Donald Richardson (21) of 1306 Beat 4/Shubuta Road turned himself into the Sheriff department. He is charged with one count of sale of a controlled substance in hydrocodone. His bond has been set at $25,000.

 

Mitchell Glen Hartley (38) of 200 Turner St. Apt. C, was arrested selling one count of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $15,000.

 

George Christopher White (48) of 338 Rankin Street was charged with one count of selling a controlled substance, crack cocaine. His bond was set at $15,000.

 

Benjamin Allen Bonner (44) of 228 Eunice Bonner Road was charged with one count of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. His bond was set at $15,000.

 

Steven Bostick, no age known, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia while at a local business.
