WCSO Investigates The Burglary & Vandalism Of Three Camps On Smithtown Chicora Road

On Saturday, July 7th 2007, The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department was notified that three camps were discovered broken into and heavily damaged. The camps were located on the Smithtown Chicora Road. Deputies Russell Douglass, Jimmy Bunch, and Chief Deputy Gerald Barnett responded to the scenes and initiated the investigation. Several items were reported stolen from the camps as well as extensive vandalism.

A $1,000.00 reward is offered through Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
