WCSO Investigates Burglary & Vandalism Of Church

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department received a call Sunday morning reporting that the Philadelphia Church off of the Buckatunna Mount Zion Road had been broken into and vandalized. Deputies Charles Everett, Cynthia Terrell, and Investigator Kevin Stevens responded. A HP desktop computer, printer, and modem as well as a CD player were reported stolen. Fire extinguishers were discharged in the sanctuary.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying these individuals. Anyone having information in this case may call Wayne County Sheriff's Department at 735-3801 or Crime Stoppers at 735-LEAD (5323). You can also submit information online using our "Submit a Tip" form. A cash reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information that leads to and arrest/conviction in this case.
