WCSO INVESTIGATES BURGLARY OF BUCATUNNA EXXONN

On Monday August 9th 2010, at approximately 0500 hours, The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department responded to the report of the burglary of the Exxon Station in Buckatunna. Deputy Kyle Smith and Investigator Mike Mozingo responded. Entry was gained by breaking the glass on the front door. Newport cigarettes and Black & Mild cigars along with an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store by two individuals. The individuals concealed their identity with clothing.

There have been approximately 30 of these types of burglaries reported in the Pine Belt area with the majority being along the I-59 Corridor from as far North as Jasper County and as far South as Pearl River County.
